Abstract
The article deals with the way of life of Volynsky Peter Kostovich, Ukrainian scientist and literary critic, methodologist and teacher, researcher of the creative heritage of Ukrainian writers. The scientific achievements of the scientist and his contribution to the development of Ukrainian literary criticism and methods of Ukrainian literature teaching at school are presented in article.
