Abstract

There has been considered phenomenon of maternity and deliberate refusal of maternity (child-free) in the context of individual propagative behavior. There has been analyzed the problem of birth motivation or refusal of child birth by young women in Ukraine. The article suggests studying of propagative moti- vation of young women from the existential-humanistic and subjective-behavioral approaches in psychology. There has been suggested some problems connected with empiric study of peculiarities of birth motivation or refusal of child birth by young women. There has been proved expediency of application of projective method in the study of motivation sphere of individual. The article describes procedure of creation of the author methodological toolset for the study of propagative motives. It also explo- res inner consistency and homogeneity of the author projective methodology «Life Stories» with the help of splitting method and coefficient of correlation by Pierson. There has been defined the coefficient of stability (retest reliability р ≤ 0,01) and has been evaluated methodology constancy concerning the figure of explorer. There has been proved evident validity of the author projective methodology and proved its va- lidity as for the content basing on the expert evaluation which concerns consistency of the text stimulus material, diagnostic criteria, their accordance with conceptual model of propagative motivation of young women and psychological believes about moti- vation sphere of individual as a whole. The article checks construct (convergent and discriminant) validity via correlation of methodology «Life Stories» data with known and valid methodologies. It gives practical recommendations as for sphere and pecu- liarities of application of the author projective methodology «Life Stories» and also describes main conditions of carrying out investigation and interpreting taken results.
