The article outlines the psychological base of personal hardiness increasing. The correlation between personal hardiness and personal motivations, meanings, self-attitude was revealed. Relations between some parameters of a person’s system of attitudes were discovered, they are determined by the high degree of self-awareness, the desire to build plans for the future, existence of goals for the future, the ability to determine independently a path of personal development. The comparative analysis of the basic characteristics of the hardiness of students with chronic somatic disorders and disorder-free students was carried out. The training is offered to increase personal hardiness, aimed at formation and development of psychological qualities supporting psychological stability and personality maturity; formation of value-meaning attitude to activities, to own life, better awareness of life goals; promotion of successful activity mastering, actualization of personal developmental powers during active interactions with the social environment. The activating and developing effect of the proposed socio-psychological training is based on safe training environment providing participants with self-understanding and understanding of the group processes in interpersonal interactions and communications. The peculiarity of this person-oriented training is involvement in the training interactions of a person as a whole, that causes changes in his/her self-organization, self-perception, actualization of his/her need for self-development, self-correction, self-improvement as a continuous process.
