Abstract

The article is devoted to phenomenon of emotional hearing as an indicator of artistic gifts of a child, and, in particular, as and indicator of empathy. Basic criterion of all types of artistic gifts is the ability to create an artistic image that reflects the inner world of a creator. This ability synthesizes other abilities to art, including the dialogic as essential quality of creative thinking. The source of the ability to create image is emotional experience that is correlated with empathy. Methodic of measuring emotional hearing of children of aesthetic education schools as feeling of subtext in nonverbal communication is described (by the methodic of V. P. Morozov adapted to musical, dance or acting gifts). The author makes conclusion of various importance of active and passive emotional hearing to recognize gifts: active hearing is directly linked to the realization of idea (image) and choice of ways of expression.
