Abstract
The attention to Ukrainian pedagogical press in 1918 as a source o f problems fo r the history o f education research, justifying the need fo r the formation o f a new model o f secondary education. It is proved that the substantive content o f this magazine contains a wealth o f practical material not only fo r the study o f the formation and development o f national pedagogy, but also to clarify the practical aspects o f teaching o f certain subjects in primary schools o f the Poltava region, which operated in difficult conditions o f formation o f Ukrainian statehood.
