Abstract
The program fo correctional and developmental work for the preparatory, 1-4 classes of special secondary schools for children with developmental delays "Correction of development" is based on the State standard of primary education for children with special educational needs. The organization of its content provides a meaningful impact on the development of cognitive sphere of children’s with mental retardation to form a cognitive activity, visual-figurative and verbal-logical thinking, voluntary actions and correction of deficiencies of regulatory processes in the learning process in accordance with the age and psychological characteristics of children with developmental delays. The principal way to help children with developmental delays is the formation of sensory-perceptual activity, standard representations and mental activity relationships with speech development, visual-figurative and verbal logical thinking and attention, ability to strong-willed efforts, voluntary regulation of behavior, objective-practical activity (motivational orienting operational and regulatory components), fine motor skills and so forth. Сorrection and developing work which is presented in the program is aimed at developing the necessary knowledge and skills and transfer them to perform in the new educational and practical conditions; formation of skills to use the sample-standard for the assimilation of new operations; develop generalized methods of mental activity; the formation of new motives and interests; development of all mental formations on the basis of learning and cognitive activity and a private activity of the child. In accordance with the standard curriculum of correctional and developmental activities are carried out with the preparatory 1 4 classes of three hours per week in each class. The program is aimed for special secondary schools, special educational facilities and educational and rehabilitation centers for children with developmental delays, as well as for teachers working with children with special educational needs in the process of implementation of inclusive practices.
