Abstract

The thesis substantiates postponing-futurological practices as socio-psychological strategies that are inherent to the members of a particular socio-cultural area. It is articulated the postponing-futurological practices distributed among students: constructive (rational postponement – the openness of the future’s designing to the changes), conventional (postponement as a bad habit – proven socially acceptable ways of acting in the future), energy-saving (unavoidability of the postponement – clear future, opposite to the negative experience), sporadic (postponement as an obstacle – several ways of the future’s construction with recurring situations), stereotyped (irresistibility of the postponement – personality’s future is regulated by referential groups), trendy (postponement as a popularized habit – future is demonstrative), communicative (postponement as a source of new opportunities – future is optimistic but vague).
