Abstract

The paper presents a comparative analysis of personal development and self–designing based on empirical studies of each of these processes through the on–line surveys. The author's survey technique stimulated the activation of self–awareness in the respondents, as well as updating their personal development and self–designing discourses. It is shown that the link between the problems of personal growth and self–designing lies in the axiological plane. Self–designing is regarded as one of the leading strategies of adult personality, that leads to its development and growth.
