Abstract

The article deals with the problem of managing upper schoolchildren’s independent work in a foreign language by means of a textbook. The author analyzes the understanding of the term «teaching aids», and examines only those tools which can be used for organizing upper pupils’ independent work in a foreign language and are intended specifi cally for them, that is, a textbook.
