Abstract
Information and bibliographic activity is an important part of library that aims to operational information needs of users. The article deals with the analysis of theoretical approach to the problem of selective information dissemination in Ukraine and foreign countries. It describes the results of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine activities concerning the introduction of selective information dissemination system for information bibliographic support of individual and group subscribers. The perspective activities of the Library in this direction are outlined.
