Abstract
The article examines the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in transforming traditional libraries into modern information centers. We investigate how the conditions under which a modern school library can and should not only strengthen its position in the education system, and take a new corresponding to modern realities rapidly progressing world place. Improving the user experience can be achieved thanks to the introduction of information technology in traditional library processes, including: the creation of electronic catalogs, bibliographic and full-text databases, organization of virtual books you-rates, development of WEB-sites and access to global and proprietary information re-resources through the Internet, etc.
