Abstract
The methodological recommendations discuss socio-psychological aspects of citizenship - its essence, place in the hierarchy of individual disposition system as well as mechanisms and factors of its developement. They investigate socio-psychological and psycho-pedagogical conditions which facilitate youth internalization of citizenship experience, formulate principles, define approaches and proirities of youth's citizehship values developemnt in the laearning process. They contain practical tools aimed at developing student citizenship competences, evaluation of the process and results of their formation through citizenship education. The recommendations are addressed to teachers and school leaders, lectures and methodologists of the in-service teacher training institutes, school psychologists, as weell as members of non-governemntal and political organizations whose activities are focused on raising youth civic awareness.
