Abstract

It is emphasised that scientific research is the basis and driver of all other areas of museum work. The author outlines the areas of research of the scientists of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine, including the study of the current state of Ukrainian education and, above all, museum pedagogy. It is stated that today in Ukraine there are more than 4 thousand museums at educational institutions, or school museums. The term "school museum" is interpreted. The results of the implementation of the all-Ukrainian research project "School Museum Studies in Biographies and Facts" are highlighted: information about the project organisers, the course of its implementation, and the personalities of Kyiv teachers whose biographies are included in the book "School Museum Studies in Biographies and Facts" (2022) are presented.
