The article outlines situations of uncertainty based on a theoretical analysis of scientific literature. Uncertainty is characterized as the incompleteness of the process of perceiving or knowing anything, which manifests itself in situations when a person is faced with the contradiction of information that comes from the outside; a difficult life situation that cannot be resolved; complete lack of information about methods of action in an unfamiliar situation, as well as a set of circumstances and conditions characterized by incomplete content. The phenomenon of resilience was analyzed and considered in the context of the impact on a person of adverse or threatening conditions and his/her ability to normal, healthy functioning in the future. It was determined that an effective way to counteract negative external influences is the internal factors of the individual, which perform a protective function in situations of uncertainty. A model of personality resilience has been developed. It is represents a system of stable positive personality traits, a personality resource that contributes to the successful return of a person to a normal mental and physical state in situations of uncertainty, after stressful and traumatic events. The factors that increase the level of individual resilience are: optimism, social contacts (environment), self-projection, self-attribution, goals and meanings. The plan for the development of resilience was considered and the ways of developing resilience in conditions of uncertainty were revealed. Developing resilience is a complex personal process that involves a combination of internal strengths and external resources, and there is no universal formula for becoming more psychologically resilient. It is important to train such personal qualities as self-awareness, self-efficacy and self-regulation to develop and increase the level of resilience.
