Abstract
The teaching aid analyzes the existing difficulties in teaching younger schoolchildren with severe speech impairments, suggests possible ways of realizing their speech needs, reveals topical issues of the organization and practical implementation of educational process in elementary school, provided scientific and methodological recommendations for disclosing the content of correctional and developmental work, its main directions, principles of building appropriate programs for working with children with special speech needs, presented modern strategies for supporting younger students. The publication is intended for teachers of secondary educational institutions (primary school teachers, speech therapists, teachers-defectologists, practical psychologists, employees of inclusive resource centers) and parents of children with special educational needs. The guide will help you better understand psychological and personal characteristics of primary school age, to consciously navigate in the choice of ways and means of teaching and upbringing of primary schoolchildren with severe speech impairments.
