Abstract

The process of formation of innovation as a key competence of the teacher of the New Ukrainian school involves the definition and justification of the features of innovation as one of the types of human activity. In the theory of human activity, the provisions on its subject determinism are important; any activity has an object, which in the process changes according to the purpose and set parameters (expected results of activity) and becomes a product of activity, which can be tangible and intangible. Overcoming psychological barriers to change and his motivation to innovate is important in shaping a teacher’s innovation. This includes: involving teachers in organizing and conducting various types of work on finding, developing and implementing innovative ideas based on their understanding of the content of the task (procedures and technological stages) and readiness to find new ways to solve problems in the educational environment and educational process. It is also important to involve teachers in the experimental testing of research in order to develop research skills and innovative thinking and innovative culture.
