Abstract

To address these needs, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) launched the PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), which according to a certain method evaluates how 15-year-old students use the competencies of students acquired in school in life and in non-standard ones situations. In 2018, among 80 participating countries Ukraine was also involved in this monitoring for the first time. At this stage, it was checked how developed the students are ability: • to read, understand and interpret the various texts they will be dealing with in everyday life; • to use knowledge and skills in mathematics in overcoming various life challenges and math problems; • to use knowledge and skills from natural sciences sciences to solve various life problems related to certain scientific situations. The article proposes an algorithm for structuring tasks for testing and formation of scientific literacy.
