Abstract

The article deals with the existing scientific approaches to the interpretation of the concept of “methodical work”. The content and peculiarities of organization of methodological work with the heads of pre-school establishments in the intercurricular period at the district level in the context of their professional development are determined. It is proposed to interpret the notion “Professional development of managers of preschool establishments” as a process of transfer of professional competence to a higher level. The urgency and practical necessity in organization of high-quality methodical work with principals of institutions of preschool education with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Education” is substantiated. The forms of methodical work with preschool education managers at the district level are described. The practical aspect of cooperation of specialists of the district scientific methodical center with experts of the district administration of education with the purpose of raising the level of professional competence of the principals of institutions of preschool education is highlighted. The algorithm of organization and conducting of methodical work with principals of institutions of preschool education in the context of their professional development is described. New forms of methodical work with preschool education institutions managers – methodical consortium and pedagogical wave are offered. The advantages of using each of the proposed forms of methodical work are described. The role of the employees of the district administration of education, the scientific-methodical center and the heads of the institutions of preschool education in this work was determined; the level of their activity in this work are dominant forms of adult education. Possible ways of using a pedagogical wave are described.
