Abstract
The article deals with the legislative framework and scientific approaches for the development of the State Standard of Elementary Education and typical educational programs for 1 - 2 classes. Materials are created on the principles of the law "On Education" (provisions on the results of education), the Concept of the New Ukrainian School, the ideas of activity-productive education, child-centeredness, environmental compatibility, etc. The algorithm of designing the contents of elementary education is grounded: the purpose is to predict the obligatory results of this level of education in the state standard - forecasting the expected results in typical educational programs according to the training cycles (1 - 2 classes, 3 - 4 classes) - means of their achievement (content, methods , environment) The role of molding evaluation in elementary school is determined; problems of creating a new scientific and methodological resource for teachers.
