The article deals with main problems of the personnel competitiveness and its importance in improving the efficiency of the organization activity. The analysis of approaches was carried out to define of the personnel competitiveness. The necessity of personnel development is substantiated as a guarantee of increasing the efficiency of the organization activity. A number of factors playing a decisive role in the formation and increase of the personnel competitiveness are highlighted. Measures possessing a significant impact on the effectiveness of the organization as a whole are suggested to increase the competitiveness of the personnel.
