Abstract
The starting positions of using the educational potential of the methodological support of the courses "Art" in the institutions of general secondary education, which are illustrated by the example of the course of Art (based on the textbook Komarovskaya OA, Myropolskaya N. E., Nikolka SA, Rudenko IV Art. The tutorial for the 10 (11) classes of general institutions secondary education. - Kharkiv: Morning, 2018. - 192 p.). Informative materials with comments to help the teacher to prepare for art lessons are provided. The author analyzes creative tasks in the context of the formation of the pupils' vital competencies through art.
