Abstract

This manual addresses the peculiarities of intellectual disorders in children, taking into account the realities and perspectives. This guide for parents helps them understand their own child and realize that intellectual disabilities are not sentences. Parents will find tips on how to learn a child, how to prepare it for school and what kind of activities it is appropriate to practice in the family. The authors describe the parents' strategies of positive influence on the child's psychological development, provide recommendations for the development of the child's skills and abilities of self-service. The manual contains information on further professional orientation in the future of the child's life.
