The article considers topical issues of organization of labor training in schools for children with visual impairments, the features of the technique and correctional-developing principles of organization of educational process, creation of conditions for the development of cognitive processes, intellectual and subject-practical activities. The didactic potential of career education are to create conditions for the development of pupils with visual impairments of cognitive processes, education of the positive qualities of the personality, intellectual, sensorimotor and perceptual actions, gaining knowledge about labour processes, properties, and processing methods of materials, acquaintance with various professions. School for children with visual impairments aims to provide all-round development of students. In achieving this goal an important role is played by employment training and education. Blindness and subsort cause a number of disorders in physical and mental development of children. It particularly affects the perception of self-regulation and self-control of movements, orientation in space. Therefore, vocational training is one of the most specialized disciplines, because of the originality of the subject practical activities of these students. Therefore there is a need to normalize the interaction with objects, objects of labor by means of a special organization of educational process taking into account individual characteristics of students, a special selection of objects of labor, correction of the significance and feasibility of manufacturing of a product.
