The author focuses on the importance of the close relationship between family and kindergarten in order to create a holistic educational environment for every child aimed at the development of the child’s personality. The concepts and components of parental psychological and pedagogical culture have been explained. These components are understanding and awareness of their responsibility for education of children, building productive relationships with educational institutions (kindergartens, schools, out-of-school educational institutions). The forms and methods of interaction between kindergarten and family, preventive work with parents have been revealed. In addition, it is shown the mechanisms of educational influence on the child and the possibility for parents to participate in the educational process of the kindergarten. The author specifies the common forms of cooperation between kindergarten and family as well as directions how to work with the preschoolers’ groups according to the parents’ needs and the capabilities of the kindergarten.
