Abstract

The monograph written as a follow up of the completed planned theme "Social studies education as a factor of youth social representaions formation in the transformation society" presents a phenomenological analysis of socil representations, findings of the emperical studies of socio-psychological peculiarities of political, legal, civic and moral representations of youth, representations of productive and nonproductive forms of social interaction, and the inpact of social studies education on their content. The authors propose stratagies,techniques and ways of influence on the process of social repressenations formation in the education process, improvement of individual socio-adaptive abilities, which were developed on the basis of the results of complex emperical studies. Content and technological aspects of modernization of humanities education are considered. The monograph is addressed to scientists,authors of curricula and methodological materials in social sciences, and teachers.
