Abstract

The article focuses on the issue of originating and development of museum pedagogy as a science, peculiarities of its recognition and encorporating in educational system of Ukraine. Evolution of cultural and educational activity of museums, methods of impact on various categories of visitors have been investigated. It has been defined that museum pedagogy has established as a peculiar branch of knowledge and scientific research in the second half of the XX century. It implies serving a Human, a People, a State and Humankind and therefore has to educate a Human, a People and Humankind. It is emphasized that in the independent Ukraine museum pedagogy takes on a significant role in the process of renewal of modern educational system, under the conditions of topicality of issues of preserving and developing spiritual and moral values of the Ukrainian people.
