Given the age specifics of the modern teenager, the structure of his educational motivation has been specified, the content of internal motivation as a component of the motivational sphere is singled out: the levels of formation of educational motivation: the motives of knowledge, interest in the content of the material; acquisition of new knowledge, skills and abilities; the motive of self-determination, assimilation of ways to acquire knowledge, especially with the use of new information and communication technologies, information search in Internet resources, social networks, etc.; in the content of external – social (broad (motives of duty and responsibility to society, institution of education, parents and other significant people for quality education, the ability to apply acquired knowledge in the future, in socially useful activities) and narrow (the desire for communication and joint activities with peers, the desire to have friends and live with them together, etc.); prestigious (the desire to receive approval from reference persons, the desire to be in the center of attention, get a high social status, self-assertion, the desire to be accepted, recognized due to their individual qualities, etc.); pragmatic motives: avoiding troubles that may arise in the event of dissatisfaction with the requirements, expectations or needs of other people; obtaining certain privileges; motives for personal growth: self-development, self-expression and self-improvement as a personality; intellectual and aesthetic development. A high level of educational motivation is distinguished, which is related to the predominance of internal motivation over the external, in conjunction with a rather high level of development of broad social motives and motives of personal growth. The conditions for the formation of educational motivation, taking into account the specifics of adolescence, are substantiated
