Abstract
The article is focused on the problem of creating a database of the authoritative file of thematic subject headings concerning education, pedagogy and psychology in the electronic catalogue at V. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, reveals its importance as far as the formation of the integrated branch information resource and the introduction of cooperative forms of collaboration are concerned. The creation of the authoritative file “Subject Headings” will lead to standardization while creating bibliographic records in the electronic catalogues within one library, as well as in the process of interlibrary interaction, especially while cooperating the library activities, creating combined databases, exchanging bibliographic records, etc. The author of the article reveals the technology and highlights the peculiarities of creating the authoritative file “Subject Headings.”
