Abstract
Attempt was made to systematically examine the prospects for professional development of employees of public utilities, justifying necessity of combining aspects of personal, psychological, social and psychological development. The grounds are the results of an empirical study of the utility workers that receive customers. The collision is that the reception of citizens carried accountants and engineers, that is, without the appropriate professionals communicative skills. As a result of intensive communication with consumers of public services workers showed signs of professional and personal burnout, which confirms the debilitating nature of the interaction with customers. The situation is complicated by the fact that consumers' expectations are not being met by the utilities due to the different understanding of the nature, content and structure of services.
