Abstract

In the guidelines the analysis of the major psychological and pedagogical approaches to personal development of students is made. The personal-competence approach as an innovative way to the development of the overall giftedness is developed and proved. The key competence is an innovative component of this approach. According to the author, the personal-competence approach will identify and develop the personal and professional skills of gifted children.
