Abstract

In the article the essence of the processes of licensing and accreditation as a form of regulation the quality of education in private higher education institutions has been defined; the criteria and requirements for accreditation of higher education institutions have been analysed, proposals for amendments to existing legal acts to improve the process of licensing and accreditation in accordance with modern global trends have been justified.
