Abstract
In the article „Research of the main meanings of Horting: „education“; „hort“; „horting“; “hortovyi „horting activity“ in the psychological, pedagogical and philosophical literature there have been analyzed the interpretations of the following words: „education“, „hort“, „horting“. There have been stated that the words and word combinations such as hort, horting, hortovyi and horting activity derived from Khortytsia island , and the contemporaries use them to describe national kind of sports of Ukraine – horting; the meaning hortovyi came from the synonyms: flexible, active, vigorous, tireless, dynamic, mobile, lively, zealous, fast, restless, nimble, busy, quick, ambitious , well-aimed, fast, energetic etc. There have been described the meanings – hortovyi and „horting activity“. Hortovyi is a sportsman, who goes in for national kind of sports of Ukraine horting and is dynamic one. This personality is full of life power, energy, move cheerfully and fast from one place to another one. Horting activity is a hard, complicated and purposeful process of forming the sportsman of horting through his\her outlook, consciousness, upbringing, education, activity and behavior. This personality systematically is under the influence of the coach, hortingists, trainings etc. for the purpose of physical, mental and social development to upbring the sportsman – hortingist. This process is achieved through the teamwork between coach and sportsman, hortingists etc. The totality of these influences is aimed at preparation of a hortingist for active cooperation with different life spheres of society.
