Abstract

Transformation of Ukrainian society’s basic structures, dynamism of renovation of social consciousness and human civilization in general inevitably draw to changes of a personality’s vital activity mechanisms. Models, followed by a human previously, do not work in conditions of new society anymore. Hence every person feel the need in adapting to new models of behavior, renewal of views, values, and concepts about personal and professional success. It is natural that socio-economic and cultural transformations in a society result in such phenomenon as human conceptions about his social status, place and role in a society, goal, objectives set and success gained or to be gained in future. Totality of such conceptions in certain social groups, namely students, stipulates their behavior, attitude to study, professional activity, and society. Issues as regards research of essential characteristics on students training as to choosing and fulfilling the professional career, formation of conception about life and professional success being clos ely connected with each other, finding out their content, formation contradictions and tendencies as to changes of conceptions about professional success both during educational process and in future acquire significance. Taking into consideration the aforementioned the article presents analysis of current researches dedicated to the theme of professional success, gives definition of this phenomenon and description of its types. Formation of students’ conception about success is regarded as psycho-pedagogical problem.
