Abstract

The national idea is something that unites people at a critical stage of its development. Ukrainian national idea consists of several closely, organically related items and provides: • statehood - a free, independent Ukraine; • unity - the territorial unity of Ukrainian lands; • spirituality - primarily Jesus Christ's science as the basis of ideology; • intelligence - the ability of every citizen to do his own mind. The national idea is an opposite of the communist idea.
