Abstract

The author highlights the historical aspect of the emergence of the postal operator profession and characterizes the main directions of its development at the current stage and highlights the features of transformation in the conditions of a full-scale war with the Russian aggressor. The essence, content and structure of the professional competence of these qualified workers are determined, and its most demanded components are singled out. The essence of contextual, axiological and competence approaches, the use of which on an integrated basis enables the successful formation of professional competence of future postal operators in professional (vocational and technical) education institutions, is disclosed. The criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of postal operators developed during the research are presented.
