Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the institution of professional (vocational and technical) education as an environment for the development of leadership qualities of students. The psychological aspects of the empirical study of leadership qualities in the personality structure of a professional (vocational-technical) education student are outlined. It was determined that there are certain psychological qualities in the psychological structure of a leader's personality: the ability to take responsibility for one's own actions and the actions of others, organizational and communicative abilities, the level of motivation, etc. The results of a survey of pedagogical workers of professional (vocational and technical) education institutions regarding the development of leadership qualities of education seekers, as well as the presence of leaders of different orientations among them, are described. It was concluded that by creating favorable psychological and pedagogical conditions in the environment of a professional (vocational and technical) education institution, it is possible to educate leaders who are able to move in the direction of dynamic and rapid changes in the field of production.
