Abstract

The article is devoted to the philosophical and educational views of Ukrainian figures of a certain period. It has been established that the domestic philosophy of education takes its origins from the second half of the 19th century. (P. Kulish, P. Yurkevich, K. Ushinskyi, Yu. Bachinskyi). The first Ukrainian thinker was H. Skovoroda. The scientist turned to the understanding of education in philosophical creativity. The philosopher considered education as a means of educating the entire nation, and the origins of his pedagogical principles were the traditions of ethnopedagogy, on the basis of which the main pedagogical ideas of labor education, education of a working person, an honest individual who chooses a path according to his natural inclinations were formed. The ideas of P. Yurkevich inspired the representatives of the Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood - T. Shevchenko, P. Kulish, M. Kostomarov, M. Gulak. They made a significant contribution to Ukrainian educational work. Enlightenment ideas were substantiated by Ya. Kozeletskyi, P. Lodiy, I. Kotlyarevskyi, and others. At the end of the 19th century - the beginning of 20th century defended the right of Ukrainians to national education (language, culture), considered the approaches of various ideas and projects of reforming education, its labor and professional direction, the connection with life in the educational and educational process O. Potebnia, M. Drahomanov, I. Franko, Olena Pchilka, P. Grabovskyi, M. Kotsyubinskyi, Lesya Ukrainka and others. D. Dontsov, I. Mirchuk, V. Lypinskyi, M. Mikhnovskyi, D. Chyzhevskyi, V. Scherbakivskyi, and others. considered nationalism as the worldview of the Ukrainian people, dreamed of a return to the moral values of Ukrainians created by previous generations; participated in the Ukrainian movement, fought for the preservation of the peculiarities of social and cultural identity, first put forward the idea of political independence of Ukraine (1917). It has been proven that one of the most important tasks of the revolutionary transformations was declared to be the Ukrainization of the school. Lypynsky advocated reviving the state traditions of the Ukrainian nobility and preserving the features of its social and cultural essence, which he considered extremely valuable for the Ukrainian people. Grinchenko, S. Rusova, M. Khvylov, O. Muzichenko, V. Durdukivskyi, Ya. Chepiga, A. Makarenko, S. Cherkasenko, O. Zaluzhny, I. Sokolyanskyi, H. Vashchenko, I. Ohienko, V. Sukhomlynskyi, etc.) contributed to the creation of the Ukrainian state.
