Abstract

The article presents the experience of a pedagogical partnership between the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University in organising practical training of future teachers during 2021-2023, especially in the context of war realities. The authors analyse the legislative and regulatory component of the practical training of future teachers; present the educational and methodological support for the practical training of future teachers, compiled by experts of the Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University; outline the main content areas of professional practice of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the context of war realities; present joint activities of partners conducted within the practice of bachelors and masters majoring in “014 Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature”, and postgraduate students majoring in “011 Educational and Pedagogical Sciences”. Based on the results achieved, it is recommended to intensify partnerships between higher pedagogical education institutions and stakeholders (employers, experts, etc.) to involve students, undergraduates, and postgraduates in interactive forms of practical and research activities within practice; to establish effective interaction of higher education institutions with the centres for professional growth of teachers in the regions, with the State Service of Education Quality of Ukraine to involve experienced professionals in the process of practical training of future teachers; to update the content of educational-professional and educational-scientific programs for future teachers to implement a concentrated model of practical training; to adapt educational programs to the war realities, to the conditions of distance and blended learning; to develop interactive forms and methods of practice in real and digital formats; to create digital platforms for practice and coverage of the main stages of its completion.
