Abstract

In the conditions of social transformations and dynamic changes, both in a separate region and in the country as a whole, from the standpoint of personal safety, many educators, social workers, and psychologists were not ready for new conditions of activity. Loss of stability increased anxiety, increasing neuroticism, the number of negative behavioral, emotional-volitional and self-regulatory reactions. Educators and psychologists increasingly have to work with children and families who have suffered psychological trauma. Children with special educational needs are the most vulnerable category of people seeking psychological help. Children who are in a state of stress after the start of a full-scale invasion of the enemy on the territory of Ukraine form communication with the surrounding world differently, relationships with others, and relate to the educational process differently. An individual approach to children is extremely important, even under conditions of instability, because this way they will be able to realize their personal potential. The timeliness and appropriateness of the educational and methodical manual is due to a series of negative socio-economic and cultural processes taking place in independent Ukraine and causing the need for significant changes in the education system, psychological assistance, and the scientific sphere of our country. Solving the problem of forming a physically and mentally healthy personality with typical and atypical development is a priority task for a number of specialists, which is not possible without rethinking the established educational and socio-psychological stereotypes regarding the role of parents, educators in this process. Simplicity and comprehensibility of working with a child, clarity and openness of the processes taking place in education, psychological work, honesty of a specialist in relation to parents, cooperation of specialists in various fields, etc., are of particular importance.
