Abstract

Modern economic development leads to the demand for a high level of «soft skills» among university graduates of economic specialties. It is «soft skills» that allow applying the obtained knowledge and skills and achieving the set goals. The article talks about the development of «soft skills» in future specialists of economic specialties, the successful employment in the future depends on the level of their formation. «soft skills» are the most important components of professional success. No matter what quality and depth of knowledge students have, without «soft skills» it is impossible to become a good specialist today. That is why it is so important to develop «soft skills» and apply them in practice. These are personal qualities that help to easily and productively solve work tasks and constantly move forward. The relevance of obtaining «soft skills» by students is substantiated, the classification of «soft» skills and mechanisms of their mastering is offered. Suggested soft skills: communication; purposefulness; creativity critical customer focus; people management; decision making decisions; emotional intelligence; knowledge management; working in uncertainty; lean production; self-analysis and self-reflection. Each of the suggested soft skills contains a list of skills that a higher education graduate should possess. The article also refers to the difficulty of assessing the degree of soft skills development. It proves the necessity of soft skills development in future specialists of economic specialties as a condition for increasing their competitiveness. The paper identifies the following prospective areas of research: modernization of the system of training and development of managerial strategy taking into account the development of «soft skills» of employees; creation of methods to assess and measure the development of «soft» competencies of future specialists at different stages of their professional career. In order to form and develop «soft skills» in future specialists of economic specialties it is proposed to show their skills and improve them.
