Abstract
The results of the research on the needs of consumers of educational services in the field of non-formal education, their motives and opportunities are considered, and the key factors that influence the decision-making of Ukrainians regarding involvement in non-formal education are highlighted. Urgent problems in the field of non-formal education of the adult population in Ukraine that complicate the development of adult education in general and non-formal adult education in particular are outlined.
