Abstract

Relevance: in the context of the reform of modern Ukrainian education, the transition to the implementation of multi-level training of professional personnel, the competitiveness of specialists in the labor market, the problem of the competence approach acquires special relevance. In turn, the professional competence of future qualified workers in the service sector is an integral characteristic that determines the ability of an individual to solve typical professional tasks and problems that arise in real situations of professional activity with the help of the use of acquired knowledge and skills, acquired professional and personal experience , values and inclinations from a specific profession in the field of services. Purpose: to analyze approaches to determining the essence and content of the definition "professional competence of future qualified workers in the field of services" in the conditions of modern educational transformations. Methods: theoretical: analysis, synthesis, generalization of scientific works from the problem of professional competence of future qualified workers in professional (vocational and technical) education institutions and official documents - to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the phenomenon; study and generalization of pedagogical experience for the purpose of choosing pedagogical tools - for the development of professional competence of future qualified workers in the service sector; comparison - in order to determine approaches to solving the problem under study; modeling - for the purpose of designing a model for the development of professional competence of future qualified workers in the field of services in the process of professional training. Results: the essence and content of the definition "professional competence of future qualified workers in the service sector" were considered; various approaches of scientists regarding the definition of the concept of professional competence and its constituent elements have been identified and analyzed; various approaches of the researchers to the classification of structural elements of the professional competence of the future specialist are characterized, with the help of which it is possible to determine his competitiveness in the market and ensure his success in the service sector. Conclusions: it is recognized that professional competence is an indicator of the internal, subjective content of an individual, is the result of purposeful internal work, its an individual professional characteristic, in the process of which the external passes through the individual's subjectivity, is processed and assimilated by it, generating a conscious ability in a specific situation to solve a specific professional problem and task, the ability to self-improve in one's work; approaches to determining the essence and content of the definition "professional competence of future qualified workers in the service sector" in the conditions of modern educational transformations (personally oriented; systemic; activity; competence, integrated) are substantiated.
