Abstract

The methodological manual presents the technology of promoting the mental health of Ukrainians who fled to Germany from the war. The author analyzes the problem of promoting the mental health of Ukrainians who are in Germany due to the war, and their mental health risks. The concept, objectives, main stages, methods and work-forms of the charity project «Social and psychological support for Ukrainians in Germany» are described. Based on empirical research, the author discusses the main mental health problems faced by Ukrainians in Germany paying attention to the Ukrainians’ assessment and manifestations of their physical and mental health, as well as to such mental health indicators as subjective well-being, positive mental health, and resilience. The author concludes that the majority of the Ukrainians in Germany need active psychological support. The author also presents a mental health promoting program for women who are in Germany due to the war, which can be used in social and psychological support groups. The manual is intended for mental health counselors, psychologists, social workers, students, teachers of institutions of higher education and institutes of postgraduate education, and researchers, as well as everyone who is interested in problems of mental health promotion in conditions of war.
