Abstract

The article highlights the problem of adaptation of younger schoolchildren to study under martial law. A number of documents adopted by the government regarding education and teaching, as well as for the continuation of systemic reforms at all levels of education, are listed. It is determined how difficult and unusual circumstances affect the emotional, social and personal spheres of the child and how they manifest themselves at each level. The difficulties that schoolchildren face when they are in new learning conditions are revealed. Definitions of the terms "adaptation", "psychological adaptation", "biological adaptation", "social adaptation" are given. The levels of adaptation and the criteria for a successful adaptation process at school have been determined.
