Abstract

The work reveals the peculiarities of providing psychological assistance to victims of war. The concept of "post-traumatic stress disorder" is defined, the characteristics of a psychotraumatic event are given. The main signs that determine the presence of post-traumatic stress disorder in adults and children are highlighted. The classification of psychological assistance according to various characteristics is disclosed. It is noted that for a person who has experienced a psycho-traumatic event, timely provision of high-quality psychological help from psychologists is necessary, because this is a great stress and a great test for a person.
