Abstract
The theses highlight the specifics of helping victims of post-traumatic stress disorder. The concept of "post-traumatic stress disorder" is defined, the characteristics of a psychotraumatic event are given. The main signs of PTSD and secondary symptoms are listed. The following groups of factors have been established, the combination of which leads to the occurrence of PTSD. The classification of psychological assistance according to various characteristics is disclosed.
