Abstract

Abstract. The implementation of the National Mental Health Gap Action Program (mhGAP), aimed at expanding the scope of management of patients with mental disorders in primary care, should be carried out not only by primary care physicians, but also by pharmacists who provide medication under the expanded Medical Guarantee Program for reimbursement of drugs for outpatient treatment of mental and behavioral disorders, provide pharmaceutical care for patients with stress disorders and insomnia according to GPP Good Pharmacy Practice standards. The purpose of the work is the study of national information, scientific databases and scientometric databases of Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane library in order to identify, generalize and systematize the source base on providing pharmaceutical care in the field of mental health care of patients and predicting the future vector of research on the specified topic. Materials and methods. General scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of data from domestic information and scientific databases were used. The VOS viewer visualization program, the PubMed search engine, and the Cochrane library were used in order to search for scientific publications, using the keywords “mental health” and “pharmacy” in the scientometric databases of Scopus and Web of Science. Results. The analysis of the main strategies for the development of pharmaceutical care for mental health care in pharmaceutical practice was carried out; the most researched clusters of mental health care were singled out; modern trends in the development of pharmaceutical care for mental health care were summarized. Conclusions. The initiative for the development of mental health care of the population of the country is based on the principles of a new sustainable patient-oriented pharmacy, which requires the implementation of the idea of expanding the main roles of pharmacists in accordance with the standards of Good Pharmacy Practice.
