Abstract

Psychological readiness for addictive behavior is a personal development that determines the readiness to use psychotropic substances. Psychological factors leading to the emergence of addictive behavior are manifested in the following personal characteristics: a low level of self-awareness of one's personality traits, a practical lack of self-analysis skills, and even more so, the ability to regulate one's emotions. This is a serious obstacle to social adaptation. As a result, a self-protective reaction to a frustrating situation is formed.
