Abstract

The research revealed the possibilities of the web encyclopedia as a means of developing the teacher's innovative competence. The content and characteristic features of the teacher's innovative competence have been specified. The types, main structural components, properties and capabilities of the web encyclopedia as a digital resource are defined. Modern web-oriented national academic encyclopedic resources created by institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are presented. The advantages of modern electronic encyclopedias as an information tool for the development of the studied competence are determined.
