Abstract
The article substantiates the necessity of forming a picture of the world of preschoolers. The author's approaches to the use of painting as a means of enriching the picture of the child's world and harmonizing his worldview are described. The criteria for content selection and approaches to the organization of preschoolers' knowledge of the world through the means of painting are described.
